Australian nature is the main focus of our family art studio. Lumi Studio is located in Walpole, a small town South West of Western Australia. We print original drawings of animals and plants on cards, magnets and other paper products. Join us to discover the natural world around us!

Nearly half way with our exhibition so about time

Nearly half way with our exhibition so about time I wrote a post! Here is the introduction and photos 😁.

Four artists have joined together for a pop up exhibition at Nornalup Hall for these school holidays. The exhibition is open daily from Sunday, 22nd of September until Saturday, 5th of October 10 am – 4 pm.

Janine Smeathers, who the local community has known as the school bus driver, is surprising everyone with her intricate crochet mandalas for the first time.

Cherry Barlowe, who is Janine's sister, has come from Mandurah to display her beautiful embroidery, mixed media, jewellery and greeting cards.

Janice Johnson (Janine's sister-in-law) has her unique colourful reclaimed yarn crochet bags for sale.

And fourth, Hedi Lelumees has joined in with her wildlife art, prints, greeting cards and magnets.

The exhibition has come together wonderfully with each artist bringing in something different. With the added history of Nornalup Community Hall itself, it's definitely worth the visit. Open daily 10 – 4 until 5th of October.

I must be getting ready to return to Australia painting quokkas! I have been in Europe (Estonia) from mid-March, and it has been a much needed reunion with my friends and family. But I am itching to get back to my studio. I took my watercolours with me, so here I am experimenting with some sketches. See you mid-September, my Australian friends. 💚
